Starting in May and running to the end of September, the Farmers Market is every Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. and every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12 noon in an old building on the corner of Third Street East and 14th Avenue East.

First Lutheran Church Intergenerational Summer Ministry “Casting Our Nets”This summer everyone is invited to come cast their nets into the great bible sea and join the fishing fun as we learn more about Jonah and Jesus and the Disciples through drama, music, games, crafts, and food. Casting Our Nets is an intergenerational program, which means that everyone from toddlers to grandparents are invited to participate. The activities will encourage cooperation are designed to include every one of all ages and abilities. Please come in July for three afternoons of fishy fun! Participate in one or all three sessions. No cost, dinner provided. Wednesdays July 16, 23, 30 from 3-6 p.m.

Eat locally grown food. This ground beef was purchased at the Farmers Market in East Hillside from Green Pastures. Green Pastures Dairy is located in Carlton, Minn. and the cattle eat grass.It is kinda expensive, but most Americans eat too much red meat. I made hamburgers tonight.
